JEAN PELCHAT - The Afterlife of Vincent Van Gogh

Jean Pelchat of Canada, novelist and story teller, published La survie de Vincent van Gogh in Quebec and in France. The complete English translation will appear, from Exile Editions, in December, 2001.

 

KATHLEEN McCRACKEN - Mooncalves

Kathleen McCracken of Canada published her first book of poems, Reflections, in 1978. It was followed by Into Celebration, 1980, The Constancy of Objects, 1988, and Blue Light, Bay and College, 1991, which was shortlisted for the Governor Generalšs Award for Poetry in 1992. She currently lives and works in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

 

MICHAEL CALLAGHAN - Ceteris Paribus (Colour Section and Cover CGI)

Michael Callaghan of Canada has been a painter, printmaker, and computer artist for twenty years. The cover CGI and colour section watercolours are part of an seven-show series that will be exhibited in Mexico and Canada between March and December 2002.

 

JON PAPERNICK - Malchyk

Jon Papernick of Canada will publish his first collection of short fiction, The Ascent of Eli Israel ­ and other stories of Jerusalem, in New York in the spring of 2002. This story is from that collection.

 

KRISTI-LY GREEN - The Famous Short Story of the Very Long Nose

Kristi-ly Green of Canada has published in several journals, including Exile. Her first collection of stories, Nits, appeared in 2000 in The Darkhorse Series, Number Ten.

 

JOHN BARLOW - ASHINEoVSUN II

John Barlow of Canada has published eclectically and widely, with Oversion Press, Homeworld books, and Oversion: The Post-Raphaelite Poetry Magazine. Exile Editions has published two of his books, Safe Telepathy and ASHINEoVSUN.

 

MELISSA HARDY - Poison Pen

Melissa Hardy of Canada is the author of short stories and three novels, most recently, A Cry for Bees and Demon Barrow. Her work has appeared in many anthologies and periodicals, including Young Bloods (2001), Malahat Review, Ontario Review, and Best Canadian Stories. She received the $10,000.00 Journey Prize for Fiction for a story that first appeared in Exile.
