PRISCILA UPPAL - Six Poems

Priscila Uppal of Canada has published three collections of poetry with Exile Editions: How to Draw Blood from a Stone, Confessions of a Fertility Expert, and Pretending to Die. Her first novel, The Divine Economy of Salvation, has just been published by Doubleday Canada and will be published by Algonquin Press in the US.

Enrique Serna of Mexico is a poet, novelist, and essayist. Among his works are Señorita México, Uno soñaba que era rey, and Las caricaturas me hacen Ilorar.

 

KENNETH J. HARVEY - No Better A House

Kenneth J. Harvey of Canada is a poet, novelist, and essayist. Among his works are Kill the Poets: anti-verse, The Hole That Must Be Filled, Brud, The Great Misogynist, The Flesh So Close, The Woman in the Closet, Everyone Hates a Beauty Queen; his first biography Little White Squaw (co-written with Eve Mills Nash), and his latest novel, Skin Hound.

 

JEAN PIERRE GIRARD - How to Abandon € One’s Career € in 20 Easy Lessons

Jean Pierre Girard of Canada is the award-winning Quebecois author of four collections of short stories, Silences, Espaces à occuper, Léchées, timbrées and Haïr? He is currently working on a series of eight novels whose cornerstone is his recent novel, Les inventés. His stories have been published in North America and Europe, translated (English, Madagascan) or adapted for film. French CBC, France-Culture and other networks have broadcast programs on his work. Translator Rachelle Renaud is a story writer and novelist: Le roman d’Éléonore, and L’amour en personne. Her translations have appeared in Exile, Rupture la revue des 3 Amériques, Moebius, ELLIPSE and BEACONS, and Journal of Literary Translation.

 

LILLIAN NECACOV - Five Poems

Lillian Necakov of Canada is the author of two acclaimed books of poetry, Polaroids and Hat Trick, the latter published by Exile Editions in 1998.

 

SUSANA WALD - The Root of Fire (Colour Section - with poetry by Günter Grass)

Susana Wald of Canada and Chile, now working in Mexico, is a painter, graphic designer, translator and publisher. Her work is in private and public collections in Canada, the US, France, Spain, Italy, Israel, Argentina, Chile and Mexico.

 

ANTON HYKISCH - Murderers

Anton Hykisch of Slovakia - a story teller, playwright and journalist - is the author of A Free Royal Town, a collection of stories, and several short novels, Nad’a, Revelations and Desire, and two novels, A Step into the Unknown and The Time of Masters

 

MARTHA GOULD - Two Poems

Martha Gould of Canada has published two poetry collections, With the Whales in Water and Poems for Owen.

 

DANIEL DAVID MOSES - De Winter’s Tale

Daniel David Moses of Canada, a poet, playwright, dramaturge and editor, is a registered Delaware Indian from the Six Nations lands along the Grand River in southern Ontario. His most recent publications are Sixteen Jesuses: poems, and Brebeuf’s Ghost, a play, both with Exile Editions, and a new edition of the play Almighty Voice and His Wife, with Playwrights Canada Press. He lives in Toronto.

Rob Elliot of Canada has been painting non-stop since 1998, and has exhibited extensively in Canada. All his spare time is taken up curating Swizzle Gallery in Toronto.
